April is gone gone gone. With it goes a lot of stress, pain, and discomfort. But hey, I managed to keep from buying a pack of cigarettes so it's all good!
LIVESTRONG Will Robinson! Now I just need to get rid of this frakkin rash!
Had some dicey weather last night. Nothing to get too worried about as the sirens never went off, but ever since that one day, I pay a little more attention.
Here's a pic of a crazy cloud that was over my house. It looks to me like some kind of alien tornado factory.

Wakey Wakey
Me up at 6:30AM?!! Yah that doesn't happen too often. I have electricians visiting me this morning, so I guess I have to let them in. Turns out tho, this getting up early is probably going to be a new scheduling for me in the next months to accommodate selling of the home.
So I thought I'd sit here in the warm glow of the sun and sip my morning coffee. Everything is still and quiet for now. I have a 'crap-ton' to do today, and I don't even want to think about it all at once.

Purge
You ever see the show Hoarders? I've only seen a few and it's pretty crazy. I think most people tend to keep things they really don't need or use, but when you can't walk in your house? It's a fascinating extreme to watch these people who just don't throw anything away. Some of it is just amazingly disgusting.
Liz has decided to have a garage sale. So we are purging everything in the house we don't use or need. Why in the name of Bruce Willis do we have like 20 coats in the house we don't wear or need?!!! I tell you though, it feels good to get rid of all this stuff. Oh George Carlin, I can still hear your bit about house ownership, and it makes me smile.
Anyway, the house is an absolute disaster. It makes my ocd self tremble at every corner. I just can't wait to get it all out of my sight!

Bloodtests
So I had some blood drawn last week to see what my cholesterol levels were at. Liz suggested I do this since I'm getting so old. Pffft.
LDL -100
HDL -24
If your LDL is under 130, then that's pretty good, so 100 is fine. HDL ( the good one) should be at 40 to 60 though for normal men. I'm kinda shocked that my cholesterol was not totally just kick ass. If you read all the things that one should do to increase your HDL levels, I've been doing a lot of it for more than a year. Am I genetically similar to Vincent Freeman!! Do I need to step up to Fish Oil pills 3x a day?!! We shall see.

Kwisatz Haderach
I've actually never seen that word in the title spelled out before. My initial spelling of it on google gave me zilch! Some of you who read this won't have the immediate mental connection of what it means. It's a term from the movie Dune. I caught the last half of it on IFC last night and it's still a great movie for me. The ghostly theme music by Brian Eno when they're in the desert is still fantastic.
I know many fans of the books poopoo on Lynch's movie, but I think it's 'out of the box' style still works today. However, reading on wiki some of the background info, perhaps I'm actually ready to read some of his books? Here's a snippet on the Kwisatz Haderach.
In the series, the matriarchal Bene Gesserit hope to create a male who can survive the deadly ritual spice agony that changes a capable female acolyte into a Reverend Mother. A female Bene Gesserit is limited:
She ... was confronted immediately with a cellular core, a pit of blackness from which she recoiled. That is the place where we cannot look, she thought. There is the place the Reverend Mothers are so reluctant to mention — the place where only a Kwisatz Haderach may look.[1]
The Sisterhood theorize that such a male would possess absolute prescience, seeing all possible futures thus being able to cause select threads of time to be realized through manipulation. The Bene Gesserit intend to use their Kwisatz Haderach to make their order more powerful than the other factions within the Old Empire.
In the texts, Herbert also refers to the Kwisatz Haderach as "the one who can be many places at once."Those crazy Bene Gesserit's were some slick mama's I tell ya. Love the Reverand Mother too. This action figure is just funny though.
