Bean Dip Buttocks

Had a pretty killer weekend. Yeah baby..kill-errrr. haha Am I too old to use such a word? Seems wrong in text. But hey, it WAS killer. Melting Pot, Hunger Games movie, swimming, lots of tasty liquors, a bean dip that was insanely good cuz I don't know why, and the season opener of Game of Thrones. I even busted out the mountain bike for a quick little 10 mile run through the neighborhood.

So Hunger Games the movie. I was pleased! Very pleased with how they adapted it to the screen. They didn't glam up the relationships like I thought they would. It was great to see Lawrence give Katniss some dimension that the book couldn't quite portray. The only thing I would've changed was all the shaky cam work in the beginning. That was a bit much. How often do I get to read a book and then see the movie days later?!! Very cool!

It's been since last June that I rode my bike and man, those bike muscles were like whoah dude! Slow down! My butt-tocks were dying afterwards. Anyway, I figured I'd give my calves/shins somewhat of a rest for a couple of days since they continue to be little wussies. I finished up March with 70 miles which is great since I dipped down to 30 in Feb. However, I didn't get in any real long runs this month like I had hoped. Hoping I can get to that in this April-ness.

Speaking of running long distances, congrats to a certain blog reader for his PR in the Knoxville Marathon this weekend. You had some obstacles for sure, but I'm certain they will only propel you forward in your next endeavor!

Liz had surgery today in her sinus cavity. Luckily they didn't have to break her septum to reset it, so she didn't get smashed by hammer face. Although her uvula ( thats the little dingle berry in the top of your throat) looks like it was put in a vice. Ooof!

I had bloodwork done last week and my HDL came up to 37 which is good considering it was 24 last time I had it done. Still could be higher. Need to up those fish oil pills perhaps. And I now I have a prostate baseline! Ha! You wanted to know this didn't you! But seriously, the bloodwork is the way to do it now. You don't need the pokey pokey to find out!
